There are a couple methods you can choose from when getting rid of tree stumps, depending on your preferences and the size of the stump:

Stump Grinding: This is the most common and efficient method. A stump grinder is a machine that grinds the stump and its roots into wood chips. You then have the option to have the grindings removed or raked out for a clean look. Talk it over with our estimator when the time comes!

Extraction: This method is best suited for small to medium sized stumps and requires the use of an excavator to extract the stump from the ground by pulling. Think about adding topsoil to fill in any unsightly/potentially dangerous holes.

While you can rent a stump grinder for this portion of your project, do NOT underestimate the physical task of stump grinding. Take a large pine stump for example, a 30" diameter would take us approximately 1.5 hours to grind with our professional, well-kept machine. Now think of how many people rent out the stump grinder at your local rental shop. The quality of the machines is usually severely lacking and customers waste their time and money; and have on several occasions come back to us to hire it out. Let us save you that time and money.
